We recently replaced a long stretch of timber fencing on a property backing onto Haslar Creek in Hardway, where the salt water and exposed position had rotted the original posts far quicker than normal. We fitted metal post supports rather than simply concreting new timber posts in, which should give the homeowner a much longer lifespan given how exposed that garden is.
